Play it before it’s finished

The beta

At some point soon there will be a build of this on TestFlight, and this is where the link will be.

It is free, it is rough, and it is not a demo of a finished game. It is the prototype, handed to people who are not the person who made it, to find out whether the central claim holds up: that a marble going over the edge of a mountain is funny rather than annoying.

BETA — NOT YET

There is no link yet

The build is close, not up. When it is, this box becomes a TestFlight button and nothing else on the page changes — so if you have read this far, you already know where to look.

Get told when it opens

No date, because a date would be a guess and you would hold me to it.

What you need

Device
iPhone
The site says iPhone and Apple TV. Only the iPhone build is testable right now.
System
iOS 18 or newer
Same floor the app targets. Older than that and it won’t install.
Price
Free
No ads, no in-app purchases. That goes for the finished game too, whenever it turns up.
Also needed
TestFlight
Apple’s free app for beta builds. The link will prompt you if you don’t have it.

TestFlight builds expire after 90 days. When one does, the icon stays on your phone and stops working, which looks like a crash and isn’t one. A newer build replaces it.

What would actually help

Five questions, and none of them are “did you win”.

The gate on this milestone is whether it’s funny, not whether it’s finished. So the useful report is not a bug list — it is what your face did.

Worth telling me

  • Did you laugh in the first twenty seconds? That is the entire gate.
  • Does falling off read as funny, or as a punishment?
  • Can you tell what you're allowed to roll on without being told?
  • Does the marble feel heavy and slippery, or just slippery?
  • Where did you put your thumbs, and did the game agree?

Already known, don’t bother

  • Faint seam lines where two block tops meet — shadow acne, cosmetic.
  • Every feel number is still a guess. That is the point of the build.
  • No tutorial, on purpose. If you needed one, that is the bug.

TestFlight has a feedback button — take a screenshot in the app and it offers to send it, with the device and build attached. That is the easiest route. Email works too and reaches the same one person.

Want the link when it exists?

There is no mailing list, no launch date and no App Store page. There is an email address, and a person who reads it. Say hello and you’ll get the link the day it exists.

Press should start at the press kit instead.
